Setting the loom is the most tedious task EVER, but once you start actually weaving it goes by very quickly. Which I like. I finished my first scarf pretty quickly (in Diakeito DiaSantaFe) and it turned out really well. I guess rumors of its awesomeness went around HCW like wildfire. I'm not complaining about that, that's for sure. My next scarf is using Katia Colibri, which knits up like absolute rubbish but appears to weave up really well.

I'd talk about the process but it's almost 1am and I have orientation tomorrow morning. That and I still kind of don't know what I'm doing when I weave. I'm debating getting my own table loom, but I don't really have $600 to shell out. So yeah, not happening. I think I'll just mooch off of HCW while I'm here in Austin. If I get serious about weaving I'll consider my own loom.

Between the weaving, knitting and crocheting, and living in a house with three cats, I am well on my way to being an old spinstress/cat lady. I think I'm okay with that.
