I moved my site at the beginning of the year, but hesitated to post about it here because I wasn't sure if it would last long. Well, I'm into month 3 and I love the way my site is set up now. If you know where to look for my new site, then please check it out, follow the RSS or whatever, and leave some comments! If not, leave a comment here and I'll message the link to you. I hesitate to post the URL here because this Vox gets spammed like crazy and I'd like my nice, shiny webpage to remain spam free.

Your new site looks sharp. Although I've never had much of a Vox-related spam problem, I'd love to take my ramblings somewhere else where I wouldn't have to bother with the stupid ads (right now Norelco is trying to sell shavers at the bottom of my posts). Unfortunately, I have no actual website-creation knowledge and I wouldn't know where to begin.

I checked out your etsy. I don't have any need for a lacy scarf right now, but I'll check back later in case you put up something with a face.

I've had a few other things on there that have sold, including a little octopus, an iPod cozy, and a baby bib. I have a few little things in mind and will let you know if they end up on the shop. My site is just built with Word Press. I already owned my own domain (some sort of irrational fear of someone buying a domain of my name, it'd be like they owned ... me ...) so I just linked them up. Viola. I like it a lot.

The spam here isn't too bad, but it's weird that the majority of the spam comments have come after that post in January when I haven't been using Vox regularly. It's like some ploy by Vox to keep you logging in.

I used to own the domain of my name, but I never could figure out how to do anything with it. There were so many questions I never bothered to figure out. Sure, your site is built with Word Press, but isn't there some sort of server involved where the thing is stored? How do you set that up? How much does it cost? How do you go about updating your site?

Those are all rhetorical questions, so please don't bother answering them. They're just things I'll eventually have to figure out if I ever want to make a move. Until then, I'll just type away here and hope somebody reads what I have to say.

Well I could answer but I won't as per your request. But if you set up a free Word Press account and play around you can figure it out pretty easily. I was going to build my site with movable type but paying for hosting was something out of my budget. My current set up is $10 a year. Very reasonable.
