I just spent the last five days in Nashville at a music theory/musicology convention. It was really awesome. The only knitting I did was on my DW season 12 scarf, here's how far along I am.

If you're down for buying me a book in a trade for something knit or crochet, I would love to make an arrangement. Or if you are just a generous soul, leave a comment or send me a message.
I need to sleep now ...

p.s. Title not related, just awesome.
I swear I've been knitting a lot (predominantly on my Clapotis), but it's just ... weaving is so much faster!
It'll probably be another week until my Clapotis is finished, but I'm making steady progress.
I'm really really obsessed with Interpol's Our Love to Admire right now. I've had this album since it came out, but I guess it was one of those albums that needed to grow on me. And it has. And I listen to it constantly now. I need to find something new to take it's place, because I don't want to wear it out!
Oh, and I'm up to 44 projects this year. I won't up my number past 50, I'll just see how far I can go past it.
Productivity!

I learned how to weave this weekend!
I'd talk about the process but it's almost 1am and I have orientation tomorrow morning. That and I still kind of don't know what I'm doing when I weave. I'm debating getting my own table loom, but I don't really have $600 to shell out. So yeah, not happening. I think I'll just mooch off of HCW while I'm here in Austin. If I get serious about weaving I'll consider my own loom.
Between the weaving, knitting and crocheting, and living in a house with three cats, I am well on my way to being an old spinstress/cat lady. I think I'm okay with that.

My new addition to the Futurama family:
Well, after I post this.
Next up is a hat or two for a commission. The story goes like this. Ever since I finished my thesis, I've been at a loss of what to do at my computer lab job. I mean, before, I could write and research. But now I just sit there for seven hours. So. I started hard-core knitting while on the job (hence so many FOs lately). A woman saw me knitting, and asked if I'd knit for her. Pssh, why not? Easy money! And motivation to use up my stash of yarn. So my first project is the Twirly Top Toque from One-Skein Wonders.
Now I'm off to watch some tentacle-filled-sci-fi-cartoon-action-adventure goodness!

I just found a new source of entry titles. Big win.
Yeah ... well sort of. I finished writing my thesis, but I just got back a list of revisions from my advisor today. By the end of the day Thursday I'll have my revisions taken care of, and apparently I can defend next week. *fingers crossed* I kind of have to defend next week if I plan on getting it turned in on time to get my degree. And, you know, be able to start my coursework for my PhD.

The last few days have been filled with music theory to degrees beyond most human comprehension. I liked it. Now I'm back to putting off the writing of my thesis by knitting.
